MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. The Russian stock market turned lower in early main session trading, according to data from the Moscow Exchange. The yuan exchange rate is also declining.

At the opening of the main trading session, the MOEX and RTS indices edged up by 0.24% to 2,475.65 and 940.89 points, respectively, trading data as of 09:00 a.m. Moscow time showed. Meanwhile the yuan-ruble exchange rate eased by 1.4 kopecks from the previous close to 12.331 rubles.

By 10:00 a.m. Moscow time, the MOEX index had pared its gains to trade down 0.13% at 2,457.75 points, while the RTS index stood at 937.45 points (-0.13%). Meanwhile, the yuan shed 3.4 kopecks to 12.311 rubles.

Earlier, at the start of the morning trading session, the MOEX index rose by 0.31% to 2,477.49 points, according to trading data as of 07:00 a.m. Moscow time.
